Some sites of interest to academic bloggers

Hi again,
I just learned about a special issue of Lore: An E-Journal for teachers of writing that focuses on blogs. Here's the URL: http://www.bedfordstmartins.com/lore/

Also, last year the first online book on blogs was published by Laura Gurak et al in the Department of Rhetoric at the University of Minnesota. It's called Into the Blogosphere: Rhetoric, Community, and Culture of Weblogs. The URL is: http://blog.lib.umn.edu/blogosphere/

Laura Gurak emailed me a few weeks ago to say that this site has had over 36,000 hits since it was published online.

Hi, Lisa. Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit:

http://www.instapundit.com/

is an academic and a prominent blogger on the right. He is a professor of law in Tennessee. There is quite a bit about blogging on his site today.

At his site today, there is this link to a tongue-in- cheek guide to blogging written by a right-wing male:

Thanks for the suggestion to visit Instapundit, Hope. I enjoyed taking a look and especially liked the factsheet about blogs. Very funny--though not as witty as you.

I can't quite understand why you would think anyone could be.
